Last Thursday, I went to Little Creatures to catch up with a friend of mine, T, as he was going back to the US of A. Went to the gym early that arvo, as I had a PT session. I met T when I was in my 3rd year in uni and we had taken a unit together in Communications. I was happy to see that he was well and so was his mum, so I heard from the horse's mouth. After that, I caught up with Dave's friends, P & T. Dinner was pizza and dessert, at Da Vinci's, and the food wasn't bad at all!
Friday, had dinner with T, and caught up with each other about what's been happening in our lives. T was kind enough to drive me to another friend's, (another) T-2, 21st birthday bash at the Claremont hotel. It was good to see a lot of familiar faces there, mostly from CH, and even better was to see old D house mates there too! After having about three drinks for the night, I made my way to the bus stop around twenty past ten and realised the bus wouldn't come until eleven. Didn't have the number for a taxi, so messaged T to sms me the number for a taxi. Aiyoh, she insisted on picking me up, the kind soul, so I managed to get home in one piece. Thank you, T! A real mate! ^_^
Weekend, been busy with uni work, as well as driving. I've been trying to fulfil my requirements to get my P plates, as D will be going to the UK in late October. He needs to be here physically to sign off my logbook. We're both busy people and to find the time to gain the hours isn't something that we can magically rack up during the weekends. We'd need to figure out a solution which would be comfortable for both of us, as well as fulfil that goal of the 25 hours. Hmmm... Any ideas, D?
Managed to get a few more hours on Sunday, by sending D's Gran to her friend's place in Leeming. Also went for a drive to Mirrabooka, where I went to this Filipino general products store and found my beloved Pan de Sal!!!! (Bread of Salt) They also had Filipino sausages, Longanisa and Polvoron, a traditional, floury kind of sweet.
Drove back to Nedlands, at Gallop House, where D and I caught up with our friend A, and met his friend, A. We all had scones, plain and cheesy, with butter and jam, as well as mint tea, for our afternoon tea, at the balcony of the house. The view was just great and we even had some bystanders taking our photos from the other side of the road. Great company, food and conversation. Went back to my place after that and poor tired D had a well deserved nap.
We left about half past nine to fetch D's Gran from her friend's place and I drove back to D's place. More hours, yay! Ended up crashing there and sent D to work, equating to more time, thanks D! ^_^
Went back home via bus and started writing. After which in the evening, went to the library. I really need to get cracking and after I post this, I'll be getting back to writing. Oh joy.
