The story of my life, told as of, and for today. The day started out alright for me, well enough. Woke up, had breakfast, mulled over the computer for a bit before having a nice hot shower. Mulled over the computer more to try and do my dissertation gave up for the moment and had lunch of pasta carbonara, mini size. Got ready to go to uni, to use the public library computers, so I'm less tempted to mull, and actually write. Packed up my food for the evening in a cooler bag and off I trotted.
Halfway through to the guild, the rain pours so suddenly despite the uber light drizzle, I'm thankful that I already had my umbrella open! Thing is, the umbrella's tiny as, since I think I left my usual partner in rain crime back at D's house when I went to his for lunch, and I loaned another to a uni mate last week. So I'm running towards the guild with my black dress sandals, which incidentally happens to be a rain magnet of sorts, during recent times, and my skirt and backpack gets drenched at the back. Not fun. Talked to a couple of college mates, J & J, waiting for the rain to subside somewhat before I attempted to cross more unsheltered ground towards the library of choice.
Managed to do some work on my CV, and I discovered something weird. I seem to be able to concentrate more here at the library than at home. Ye gads! A revelation! (Not really, just that Reid wasn’t doing anything for me, so I didn’t think any other library would make much difference. Plus, it’s not on a laptop, or maybe I prefer a bigger laptop? Mine has an external drive, which I’m getting quite tired of, to be honest. But I’ll live.)
So now, I’ve made a decision. Starting from tomorrow, I’ll wake up in the morning, and quickly get to uni, with food at hand. Bring my work, and start writing my ass off, appointments still on going, I’m afraid. But at least I’ll know where to go to microwave my food, if need be. :-) Ooh, it’s time for me to get to work, post more soon! ^_^
