First Week of Uni

This piece was written earlier, but was shelved from being published by reality’s circumstances:

“It’s been quite a week so far, and it’s only Wednesday, into my first week of honours! Seminars are serious shit! Heh. Catching up with uni friends has been good too! It was great to see O and some familiar faces in the same course, as well as the circle of hostel mates. Went into the refectory, and didn’t feel out of place for the first time. It’s a sign I’m getting old, uni-wise… Gah!

There were some changes to the library I frequent and it’s hilarious how the whole system isn’t set up as well as it should have been when uni started. I mean, they should have tested these things while the holidays were in session!”
