Friendship

I've been blessed with having the pleasure of knowing a lot of people in Perth and forging friendships with them. I've also been blessed with a handful of close friends in Singapore, rekindling friendships with fellow UWA graduates now in Singapore and my primary school mates. I had thought I would have lost their friendship after not being in touch with them for quite some time, but to my surprise they welcomed me with open arms. I am looking forward to making more of an effort to keep in touch with more friends and gaining new ones as I forge ahead with my job applications.

Just last night I attended a Chinese New Year gathering at LY and JP's house (the ROM-ed couple) and I saw about more than five familiar faces there. It was good to see them all and we had a great time reminiscing about old times since primary school and catching up about each other. BK had started a business, ZW was in advertising, I don't know what D, MZ or YY does, but I'm sure I'll all be able to catch up with them again soon. I learned the basics of mah-jong that night and I must say that now I understand why aunties enjoy playing the game. It involves skill!

Does that make me an auntie? Guess it does. In any case, I will be one, around June/July, when my cousin-in-law gives birth to my nephew/niece. I'm so excited!

I wonder who reads my blog, since I don't seem to get much comments...
