I have just realised that I have got a lot of junk. I also have a lot of electronic goods that I don't necessarily use all the time. As technology gets more and more advanced, we tend to see our spanking new toys become obsolete. I now have two paper organisers, one red moleskine one from Dave, with which I added the dates as and when I could, and an A5 perfect bound professional looking organiser for work, which I had recently purchased in order to keep track of meetings.
I have an old PDA phone my cousin gave me which is supposed to have Wifi, but hasn't worked at all ever since I got it. (Looks ancient like my cousin too!) Some buttons on my SE phone has died, but I'm able to send texts on a new SIM that enables me to do massive global sms-ing for 2 mths. (Sweet!) I've Dave's old N95 as my main phone, with all the buttons working, but has at two situations let me down by running out of battery. (Now I know why Dave hates it.) Full of functions, but it's not sweet on user friendliness.
My laptop is old and has lots of software which I wonder, "Do I really need all of it"? I have outdated software, Outlook 2002, and to sync my google calendar, it has to be 2003. WTF! Searching for programs to do the syncing is making me ponder whether I should have gotten a macbook and get it all over with. Now that I'm working, I'd like to think that life can and should be made easier. I think that on my wishlist, is a macbook with extra HDD space. Perhaps that would solve the problem i have been having with my current configuration for Life. If my google calendar can be synced in with iCal, then synced to my phone, and reflected on my A5 Organiser, I wouldn't have to carry so much stuff in my bag!! :-/
I really need to sort my organising system. Suggestions, anyone?
