Life is full of surprises

I never knew that life was full of surprises, although I knew that life was full of shocking things too. I chanced upon talking with my grandma, more about my family history. An uncle I always thought was just an 'uncle', despite knowing he was from the same clan, was actually my grandfather's nephew! That itself was a revelation! I also found out other things about my nan's dad, about how they lived when my nan was about ten years old. Also found out bits about my nan's courtship with my grandpa, now that's something to definitely remember. I find that romance from years past always has a nostalgic and olde romantic feel to them and I'm glad my grandma has shared such precious memories with me. :)
